Presentation | Both the scientific community and the pharmaceutical and biotech companies are increasingly aware of the paramount advantages of applying the ever-growing array of bioinformatics tools to their research or their production chains. As a consequence, there is currently a huge demand of professionals skilled in the Computational Biology area. The Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) has ample experience in both Biological and Computational Sciences. Its Master in Computational Biology takes advantage of this experience to bring students the knowledge of internationally recognized professionals. At odds with other masters in the same topic, the centers involved in this Master are located at the UPMs Excellence Campus of Montegancedo, a thriving campus where both research institutes and companies work together. This allows the UPM´s Master in Computational Biology to offer a complementary formation in real-world situations through internships in associated research centers and companies, such that the Master´s students will gain an outstanding formation both from a theoretical and a practical point of view. In sum, by participating in the UPM´s Master in Computational Biology you will be formed by top professionals in a multidisciplinary area of knowledge that will gain you access to a large array of professional opportunities. The Master in Computational Biology has 60 ECTs and spans along one academic year. |
